I have always seen this park, when working in the area, or commuting back and forth between Union City and Jersey City, but this was the first time I visited. I was there for the Union City Pride Day Pride Flag Raising Ceremony. As a result, I finally had the opportunity to literally walk into Washington Park. It was a small ceremony, but what it represents for the immense diversity of Union City, NJ is wonderful. I look forward to returning to this park, when I can, with a good book and a bottle of water.

I rarely have the opportunity to visit the Old Slip Plaza area of Lower Manhattan, NYC. But when I do I enjoy the visit. My favorite discovery was a Periscope Coffee mini truck which serves Lavazza coffee, and the individual who made my coffee is a master of "service with a smile.". I rediscovered how good Leo's Bagels are. All in all, I look forward to returning to this area, as soon as I can.
