The fish smelled a little off when I opened it (got takeout) but didn’t think much of it. The taste of the food itself was pretty flavourless (got a medium sushi boat). The menu says it’s $30 but somehow ended up paying $50!
Ended up getting food poisoning.
It’s sad because the people there were genuinely very nice but I can’t recommend it as a sushi restaurant.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Ichiban Sushi for the first time after a creative rug-making date at Chillax Tufting Studio, and we were absolutely blown away by the entire experience.
From the moment we walked in, the warm, family-owned atmosphere was evident. The owners were incredibly kind and sweet, greeting everyone at the door and bidding farewell as they left. It's the kind of hospitality that instantly makes you feel welcome and appreciated.
To kick off our meal, we were treated to complementary fried dumplings, and they were a delightful start to our culinary journey. The miso soup that followed was rich and flavorful, setting the stage for the main event – the sushi rolls.
We decided to share three rolls: the Red Dragon Roll, Sunshine Roll, and Toronto Roll. Each roll was a masterpiece in its own right. The flavours were well-balanced, and the size of the rolls was impressive. The combination of fresh ingredients and expert preparation made each bite a true delight.
What truly set Ichiban Sushi apart was the exceptional service. The owners went above and beyond, advising us to take our time and assuring us that there was no rush to leave. This added a personal touch to our dining experience, making it more than just a meal but a memorable moment.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. My party ate mostly meat/fish and they were all very happy. I am vegetarian so they improvised for me and I had the dishes in the pictures, which were very tasty. Would return here.
The Chef must be a smoker not be able to taste all the salt!
We were so excited to try this Italian restaurant but unfortunately it’s not as good as we thought. Octopus was so hard a chewy we had to return it. Pasta & pizza we’re good but extremely salty. ARANCINO & Cannoli were really good.

We went and had the taste canoe experience, it was fantastic. Superb atmosphere with a great view of Toronto. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable we paid our meal with cocktails instead of wine and they made some excellent pairings. Last but not least the food plating was stunning and really brought and air of intrigue and beauty to some delicious meals. I would definitely recommend seeking out canoe for a great dinner experience
My husband and I stopped in after a day-long bus tour of Toranto. We were needing a warm drink before getting on the road for the 2 hour return to Niagara Falls, Ontario. They were very busy with reservations but happily welcomed us at the bar for delicious coffee. The server even gave us a refill to go. The bar tender and the manager both took time to answer a couple of questions about the restaurant. Loved the vintage vibe! Would definitely reserve a table if we're back in Toronto!

Luckily they’ve survived the pandemic, unfortunately they still haven’t returned to full menus and full daily meals. However Brunch today was fabulous. $5 #mimosas made with fresh juice and Prosecco was a wonderful beginning to our meal. #coffee #tea and #warmAppleCider accompanied our dishes. My husband ordered the #buttermilkPancakes with fresh #AppleCompote and #mapleSyrup he really enjoyed them. He also enjoyed a lovely side of #Bacon. I went with their brunch special. While not a full English breakfast, which I had hoped to order, It did have #bakedBeans #eggsOverEasy wonderfully cooked #homeFries #ChallahToast and to make it Canadian I had luscious #peaMealBacon I was fortunate to eat it with some #HPSauce which made it English. The server said they discontinued the Full English Breakfast due to people not eating the Blood Pudding, Heathens!! Overall a wonderful yummy brunch, in a cool place, with an old jazz vibe. My husband talked about eating at The Senator back in his University days or eating lunch while working down the street. I’m a really big fan of sushi and this restaurant not only provides me with good tasting sushi but really amazing customer service.
They always greet me with excitement and appreciation, they also remember my order and never forget the spicy mayo🥹.
It is run by the husband and wife and they work 7 days a week.

Por poner un único pero el plato de mi acompañante se trataba de un arroz acompañado de unas bolas rellenas de pollo, la verdad es que era todo nada y más bien poco pollo .

El servicio magnífico y muy bien presentados los platos. La comida excelente. Bien en los precios aunque todo se cobra extra. Vale la pena más de una visita. No dudo en recomendarlo.
